Professional Experience
Tom Curry joined McDonough Holland & Allen after serving for more than 20 years as the City Attorney for the City of Livermore. He also served as Assistant City Attorney of Walnut Creek and Deputy City Attorney of Hayward.
His practice focuses on all aspects of public agency law with an emphasis on complex land use matters. He currently serves as City Attorney for Sonoma and had served as City Attorney for San Ramon.
Tom brings to McDonough extensive trial experience in CEQA, land use, the Public Records Act, the Brown Act and general municipal issues. He has been involved in promulgating claims administration procedures, Municipal Codes, personnel rules, growth control policies, litigation status reports, sign ordinances and FLSA issues.
He is very active in the League of California Cities and is a frequent presenter at conferences for organizations including the California Transit Authority, California Joint Powers Risk Management Authority and the California State Bar.
