Thomas R. Beecher, Jr. has been a Director of the Company since 1969. He served as Lead Director from August 2003 until February 2006. He serves as counsel to the law firm of Phillips Lytle LLP, where he served as a partner from 2000 to July 2004. Since January 2004 he has been Chief Executive Officer of Barrantys LLC (family office management), and has been President and a Director of Ballynoe Inc. (formerly Beecher Securities Corporation), investments, since 1979. He is a Director of the J. S. Standish Company, a Regent Emeritus of Canisius College, Chairman of the Board of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Inc., past Chair and past Director of Kaleida Health and a founder and Director of the Buffalo Inner City Scholarship Opportunity Network.
