Thomas P. Sheehan - Chairman. Tom started Universal Distributors of Indianapolis, Inc., as a sales company, in 1967. Universal grew to be one of the largest independent distributors of encyclopedias in the United States. From the success of that sales company, Carmel Financial Corporation was incorporated in 1988 with the initial mission of financing sales generated by Universal. Carmel quickly expanded its horizons and began financing sales of other companies. Tom foresaw the need for technology and procured some of the most sophisticated tools in the industry which include state of the art, network based computer systems and a digital document imaging system. Under Tom's continued guidance, Carmel has expanded it's financing into new business lines and expects to maintain its rapid growth. |
