Thomas M. Ripp was appointed president of L-3 Security & Detection Systems in August 2005. With over 25 years of general management, strategic planning and leadership experience, Mr. Ripp was most recently the vice president of sensors and advanced packaging for the Dover Corporation’s Vectron International business, a manufacturer of frequency control products for the telecommunications, industrial, military and space markets. In this position, Mr. Ripp managed a business unit that developed new sensor technologies for the homeland security marketplace. Mr. Ripp also held a variety of senior management positions with Vectron International since 2000. Prior to that, he served as president of the Interpoint Microelectronics business of Crane Co. He also held positions at the General Instrument Corporation, Raytheon, Grumman Aerospace and Proctor & Gamble. Mr. Ripp received a Master of Business Administration from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts from Holy Cross College. |
