Tom has seen the impact of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s work first-hand as president of Disney Cruise Line®. The cruise line has granted wishes for the past eight years. During a gala aboard the Disney Magic that benefited the Foundation, Tom decided to get more involved with the Make-A-Wish mission. He wants to use his skills to broaden awareness of Make-A-Wish activities and continue the Foundation’s growth. Tom oversees the cruise line’s shipboard operations, purchasing and logistics, entertainment, programming and operations integration, risk management and marine, technical and shoreside travel operations. He was instrumental in building the line – Tom developed its business plan and negotiated the ship contracts, purchase of Castaway Cay, development of Disney’s Port Canaveral cruise ship terminal and arrangements for a fleet of Disney Cruise Line motorcoaches. Before joining Disney, he was the director of corporate and financial planning for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Ltd. Tom was appointed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America Board in April 2006. He and his wife, Yvonne, live in Orlando, Fla. |
