Wealth Planning/Administration

Thomas Ruane is an estate planning and business attorney in the Firm’s Overland Park office. He assists clients in all stages of the estate planning process, from initial planning and implementation through final settlement. Mr. Ruane has experience in the preparation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, charitable trusts and other estate planning documents, the implementation of estate tax, generation-skipping, asset protection and other sophisticated planning techniques, and post death administration of probate and intestate estates and trusts.

Mr. Ruane also assists clients in all aspects of business planning and ownership, including raising capital through private securities offerings, formation, acquisition, operation, reorganization, succession planning, disposition and dissolution. Thomas has particular experience counseling family-owned businesses, often in connection with the estate planning process.
