Thomas M. (Tom) Rainwater, CEO, is chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors for SunEdison. He assumed his current position in August 2007. Mr. Rainwater has been a successful senior executive in the power generation and energy marketing industry since 1982. He has held key engineering, project management, strategic and executive leadership roles with several energy companies including TransAlta Corporation, Illinova Corporation, CMS Energy, BP, WPS Resources, Fina Oil and ANR Pipeline. Mr. Rainwater has bachelor of Science and Engineering degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Interdisciplinary Engineering studies from the University of Michigan. He received a graduate degree in Management from Cardinal Stritch College of Milwaukee Wisconsin, and a graduate certificate in Marketing from the Southern Methodist University (SMU) of Dallas, Texas.
