Thomas L. Hefty is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Chicago office. He is a member of the Corporate Department.
Thomas’ practice is devoted to all phases of real estate law, including acquisitions, zoning and entitlements, private financing, governmental financing and assistance, construction and construction disputes, and leasing. He also practices in commercial transactions and lender representation.
Thomas served as a law clerk for the Illinois Appellate Court (3rd Districts) from 1980 - 1982.
He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the federal district court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
He has presented papers to the Chicago Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee, of which he is an active member.
