Thomas K. Sneed is chief information officer at Marathon Oil Corporation. He joined Marathon in 1981 and began his current assignment in 2003.
In 2002, Mr. Sneed was appointed manager of Information Technology Services for Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC (MAP).
Two years earlier, he transferred to Speedway SuperAmerica LLC (SSA) in Enon, Ohio, as vice president of Information Technology Services. In 1998, Mr. Sneed was named manager of Computer Services for SSA.
In 1997, Mr. Sneed served as manager of Information Technology Marketing & Accounting Applications for MAP. Earlier that year, he was named manager of Information Technology Services: Downstream Computing.
Mr. Sneed began his career as a computer applications programmer at Marathon in Findlay, Ohio. He was transferred to the Data Base Management department in 1984, where he progressed through a series of technical positions until 1992 when he was named supervisor of Corporate Systems and Programming.
Mr. Sneed was born in Dayton, Ohio, and has a bachelor’s degree in Computer & Information Science from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. |
