Like any good engineer Tom Regan explored industrial operations from every angle over the past 30 years – from research and development to sales to management and administration. Now as President of PCS Phosphate he is responsible for bringing that depth of experience to PotashCorp’s multi-faceted product line (Fertilizer Feed and Industrial) and eight facilities.
Mr. Regan joined PotashCorp as Vice President Administration PCS Phosphate in April 1995 following the Company’s acquisition of Texasgulf Inc. where he had served as Vice President of International Marketing and Raw Material Purchasing. In 1997 he was named Executive Vice President of Operations for PCS Phosphate and in July 1999 became President PCS Phosphate.
Throughout his career Mr. Regan has embraced change and accepted new and increasingly challenging responsibilities. He joined PPG Industries in New Martinsville West Virginia in 1968 as an Engineer in Research and Development then moved into a variety of positions within the company. He joined Olin Corporation in Lake Charles Louisiana as a Group Leader in Process Technology in 1973 and spent six years with the company in a number of supervisory roles. In 1979 he joined Air Product & Chemicals working for eight years as a plant manager and director of manufacturing before joining Texasgulf as Vice President of Phosphate Production.
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1968 Mr. Regan continued on to graduate work and MBA programs at Marietta College West Virginia University and McNeese State.
