Thomas J. Webb is executive vice president and chief financial officer of CMS Energy and its principal subsidiary Consumers Energy. He was named to this position in 2002. Before joining CMS Energy Webb had been executive vice president and chief financial officer for Kellogg Co. since January 2000. At Kellogg he helped drive the purchase of the Keebler Co. the largest acquisition in Kellogg’s history. He led the financing effort which included the largest bond offering $4.6 billion in the history of the consumer-branded industry. Webb was known for bringing a new emphasis on cash flow discipline to earnings growth and restoring investor confidence. From 1996 to 1999 he was senior vice president chief financial officer of Visteon. He was selected by senior management at Ford Motor Co. to help create Visteon and take it public. This $18 billion automotive components business has major production facilities in 30 countries.Webb began his career at Ford Motor Co. in 1977 holding increasingly responsible finance and management positions over 22 years in the United States and in Europe.Webb was on the dean’s list and earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance both from Virginia’s George Mason University. He received the National Distinguished Service Award from the Boy Scouts of America. Webb and his wife Donna live in Richland Mich. and are the parents of two daughters Ashleigh and Lindsay and a son Tommy. |
