Thomas J. Turek Thomas Turek is CrossCart’s Vice President of Research & Development. Turek is a senior scientist specializing in orthopaedic research, product development and biomedical engineering. Turek joined CrossCart in 1999 from Genetics Institute, Inc. where he spent eight years working in the Department of Musculoskeletal Sciences, Department of Bone Biology and Applications and the Department of Bone Research. While at Genetics Institute, Turek worked on the development of the InFuse device with bone morphogenetic protein (BMP). Prior to joining Genetics Institute Turek conducted research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Department of Chemical Engineering. Turek has over fourteen years experience in applied research and orthopaedic product development. Turek has co-authored over 40 scientific articles and abstracts and has been awarded several U.S. and international patents. Turek has a B.S. degree from Michigan State University, Department of Biochemistry. |
