Mr. Guadagno began his technological training at Devry Institute, where he studied Electronic Engineering and Technology. He quickly progressed to owning and operating Fast Data, one of the largest computer and networking services in Northwestern NJ in the early 90's.
In 1993 he was hired by International Cablecasting Technologies (I.C.T., now DMX - Digital Music Express), at the time the leading cable music in the world. While working for I.C.T., Mr. Guadagno designed and oversaw the construction of the DMX world-wide origination center in Denver, CO and managed operations for the European-origination studio.
In 1997, SJL Broadcast Management, Inc. hired Tom as the Chief Engineer for WICU-12, in Erie, PA. Guadagno oversaw an architectural and technological renovation of the station, making it the most advanced and technologically sound facility in the market. In 2001, his job requirements became more focused in the information technologies area, splitting from the Chief Engineer position. At the same time, he founded his own company, 6G Systems Corporation, which offers custom-designed software, engineering, and consulting to the broadcast industry. In 2002, Mr. Guadagno designed and implemented the system that allowed SJL, under an LMA, to begin central-casting for WSEE, another Erie station.
Tom and his wife, Susan, have one son, a dog, and a cat. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and movies. He's worked with Kidsafe, a child safety program in Erie, and has been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. |
