Tom Donohue is President and Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world's largest business federation, representing three million companies and organizations. Under his leadership, the major themes of the Chamber have been advancing free trade, promoting legal reform, bolstering the country's leadership in technology and improving the standing of business. Prior to his current post, Donohue served for 13 years as the president and CEO of the American Trucking Associations (ATA). Previously, he was a group vice president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for eight years. Mr. Donohue is a member of ACTPN, the President's Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations, which provides overall policy and advice on matters concerning objectives and bargaining positions before entering into a trade agreement and other matters arising in connection with U.S. trade policy. |
