Mr. Murphy joined AmerisourceBergen in 2004 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. A graduate of the University of Richmond, he brings to AmerisourceBergen more than twenty years of knowledge and experience in information systems and telecommunications in a large corporate environment, most recently as Vice President and CIO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. In that capacity, Tom created the vision and gained enterprise approval and funding for the retooling of mission-critical systems that enabled the company to function and compete effectively. He also upgraded the company's warehouse, logistics and contract management systems and created a high-performance, customer-service focused team capable of rapid change to meet dynamic, shifting business priorities.
Prior to joining Royal Caribbean in 1999, Tom spent fifteen years in the hospitality industry in IT positions of increasing responsibility. In 2002, he was named to ComputerWorld's Premier 100 list, which honors IT professionals who are considered to be exceptional leaders. |
