Dr. Thomas Wang leads research and product development for the Company and has over 20 years of experience in new product development in molecular diagnostics and life science products. He has led several in house and collaborative product development products during his career. Thomas’s experience includes the Director of Reagent and Application position at BD Biosciences, a clinical diagnostics and life science technology company, and Acting Director of the Molecular Diagnostics Department at bioMerieux Inc. Earlier, Thomas was Vice President of R&D and Business Development at Biotronics Corporation. He began his management career with seven years at Biotronics Corporation where he managed R&D, marketing and strategic planning. He is best known for setting up the Taiwan reference lab operation in molecular diagnostics for Biotronics Corporation and the integration of molecular diagnostic function into existing VIDAS platform in bioMerieux Inc. Thomas holds a B.S. in Agricultural Chemistry from National Taiwan University and Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology from Indiana University. |
