Tom Aubry brings nearly thirty years of experience to the clients of Coats Rose. Tom graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1977, and while in school worked as the Federal Court Law Librarian, reporting to the Chief Judge of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and later clerked for a U.S. Magistrate in Houston. He began his law career as an Assistant Attorney General of Texas in the Environmental Protection Division in Houston. For six years he served as a Director of the Harris-Galveston Coastal Subsidence District, which regulates groundwater use in the greater Houston area. He also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the South Texas College of Law, teaching Civil Procedure, Consumer Law and Commercial Law. Tom volunteers in the State Bar of Texas Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers. Practice Emphasis Tom’s practice includes a wide variety of cases including toxic tort defense, employing those skills and practical experience gained in the last two decades to further his respective client’s goals. He has handled complex environmental cases before state and federal trial courts and administrative agencies involving permitting, enforcement and tort litigation. He has hands-on experience with workplace exposures, air pollution, solid waste and waste discharge issues. |
