Thomas F. Walls is an 11-year Capitol Hill veteran with broad legislative experience as a senior Senate staffer. As a former Legislative Director and veteran of political campaigns at every level, Mr. Walls has broad contacts and a sophisticated understanding of the procedural and political context of the policy debate. Throughout Mr. Walls’ career, strong communications skills and an understanding of the policymaking process have been keys to his success. Mr. Walls takes particular pride in helping clients to craft persuasive public affairs communications, both in dealing with crisis situations and as part of a long-term legislative strategy. He has extensive experience working with organizations and individuals involved in congressional hearings and investigations. He is also an attorney in the McGuireWoods, LLP law firm,* where he deals with matters relating to federal campaign finance and related ethics matters. Early in his career, he gained experience representing large corporate clients in commercial litigation. Mr. Walls represents a variety of McGuireWoods Consulting clients, including a leading food manufacturer, a well-known university, foreign governments and others. He serves as a Professorial Lecturer in Law at the George Washington University Law School.
