Thomas E. Werner brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience across a broad base of financial disciplines and industries including healthcare to his role as senior vice president Finance and chief financial officer Hospira Inc.
Prior to joining Hospira in August 2006 Werner served as senior vice president Finance and chief financial officer of Böwe Bell + Howell a service manufacturing and software company that provides document processing and postal solutions. He joined Böwe Bell + Howell in late 2001.
Earlier in his career Werner was chief financial officer for two publicly traded companies -- Xpedior Incorporated a software developer and integrator; and uBid Inc. an e-commerce company -- and served as corporate controller for Gateway Inc. Werner also held various financial roles at Baxter Healthcare Corporation and American Hospital Supply Corporation.
Werner earned a bachelor's degree in business from the Indiana University and is a certified public accountant. He was born in 1957 and resides in north suburban Chicago.
