Tom Wheeler joined the Mercator Partners' Advisory Board in 2004. Tom is a nationally known expert in telecommunications, having served as the President and CEO of the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) for over 10 years.Tom has worked at the forefront of telecommunications policy and technology for two decades, and served as president and CEO of the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) from 1992-2003. In addition, as a telecommunications entrepreneur, he founded or helped start multiple companies offering new cable, wireless and video communications services, both domestically and internationally. Appointed to the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts by both Presidents Clinton and Bush, he is also president of the Foundation for the National Archives, and a director of Tech Corps and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). Wheeler is the author of Take Command! Leadership Lessons from the Civil War, published by Doubleday. |
