Tom Welch brings over 25 years of experience in banking, including 15 years in Small Business Administration (SBA) lending, to Security Business Bank.
As Senior Vice President of Lending, Mr. Welch oversees and manages Security Business Bank's Lending and SBA department. He is responsible for originating SBA and conventional loans, underwriting, cash flow analysis, and reviewing loan proposals for SBA eligibility. Mr. Welch and his sales team are focused on expanding the Bank's presence in the SBA lending arena throughout San Diego County.
Mr. Welch most recently served as Senior Vice President and SBA Department Manager for Cuyamaca Bank. He has also served in executive positions with Scripps Bank in San Diego, and with numerous California banks including First Union Small Business Capital, Heller Financial, and Burlingame Bank & Trust.
Mr. Welch was co-chair of the Executive Club of the Greater San Diego Chamber of Commerce, a board member of Young Audiences of San Diego, and former treasurer of Le Tip of Greater San Diego, a business networking organization. Mr. Welch received a B.S. in Management at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. |
