Mr. Stanberry is the Chairman, President and CEO of the Company, the CEO of West Bank and Chairman of WB Capital Management Inc. West Bank is an Iowa community bank with assets of approximately $1.3 Billion and offices in the Des Moines and Iowa City metro areas. WB Capital Management Inc. is a money management company with assets under management of approximately $4.5 Billion and offices in Des Moines and Coralville, Iowa.
Prior to joining WTBA in 2003 Stanberry worked with Piper Jaffray Inc. from the fall of 1989 until March 2003 in a variety of positions including the head of the fixed income capital markets division and senior investment banker. From 1979 until joining Piper Jaffray he was a lawyer with the Des Moines law firm of Ahlers & Cooney.
Tom is actively involved in the community. He is the Vice Chairman and a member of the board of the American Red Cross-Des Moines Chapter, and a member of the boards of directors of the Greater Des Moines YMCA, the Iowa Bankers Association, the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Winefest Des Moines, the Iowa College Foundation, The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines, the Mid-Iowa Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Greater Des Moines Committee. He is involved with the United Way and is active in Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ.
He is a 1976 graduate of Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Indiana where he is a member of the board of trustees, and a 1979 graduate of the Drake University Law School where he is a member of the board of counselors. He is married to Paula J. Stanberry and lives in West Des Moines with Paula and their four daughters. |
