Tom Long is vice president and chief financial officer for DCP Midstream Partners in Denver, Col.
Long has more than 26 years of experience with Duke Energy and its predecessor companies.
Long joined the company in 1979 as an accountant for Texas Eastern Corporation in Houston. He held positions of increasing responsibility in the accounting, tax, finance and business development areas before being named controller of National Methanol Company, Duke Energy’s international chemical joint venture, in 1991. He was named chief financial officer of Electroquil, Duke Energy’s power generation interest in Ecuador, in 1998.
Long then joined Duke Energy Field Services in 2000 as vice president of investor relations. He was promoted to treasurer in 2002. In 2004, he was named vice president and chief financial officer for National Methanol. He was named to his current position In October 2005.
Long is a certified public accountant. He is a member of the Accounting Institute of Certified Professional Accountants, the National Investor Relations Institute and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
A native of Houston, Long was born in 1956. He and his wife, Meg, have two sons. |
