Dr. Lipps is the Medical Director of the Occupational Medicine Services at Battle Creek Health System. In this capacity, he oversees all clinical care delivered at the two Occupational Medicine centers. Dr. Lipps also works closely with client companies to prevent workplace injury and illness.
Dr. Lipps is an experienced occupational medicine and health specialist. Prior to joining BCHS, he was the director of occupational health at the Dow Chemical Company's facilities in Freeport, Texas and Midland, Michigan. He also served as the medical director for a General Motors facility in Saginaw, Michigan where he was responsible for the occupational health care of 7,000 employees. Dr. Lipps is the author of numerous studies and publications in the occupational medicine field. He is a past director of the Michigan Occupational Medical Association and a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
Dr. Lipps completed medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed a three-year family practice residency at the Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice. In addition, Dr. Lipps holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. |
