Thomas E. Laird, age 54, joined Hudson City Savings in 1974. He has served as Senior Vice President, Lending since January 2000 and as Senior Vice President of Hudson City Bancorp since January 2004. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Mortgage Officer from January 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, he served as First Vice President and Mortgage Officer from 1991 to 2000. His primary areas of responsibility are mortgage and consumer lending and loan production. Mr. Laird holds an undergraduate degree from St. Peter’s College and is a graduate of the National School of Banking at Fairfield University. Mr. Laird was actively involved from 1989 to 1999 on the Wanaque Board of Education, having served for two terms as Board President. He has also been active in the New Jersey League of Community and Savings Bankers and presently is a board member of the Dover Housing Development Corporation. He is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of New Jersey. |
