Mr. Fox has had more than 12 years of experience in casino operations and finance since he joined Southwest in 1993. Tom has been responsible for implementing the systems and internal controls at all of the Southwest properties. In addition to serving as President, Tom was also the CFO of Southwest until June 2006. Tom is a CPA with more than 30 years of experience designing and implementing management systems. As a member of the Southwest management team, Tom has provided hands-on oversight over the opening of six new gaming operations and the repositioning of an additional three gaming facilities which were under performing prior to our involvement. As a public accountant, Tom focused on real estate tax accounting. Over the past 22 years he has been involved in public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities involving residential housing and commercial properties representing both developers and syndicators. Tom was a co-founder of Berc & Fox limited, a public accounting firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1976 and worked there until he joined Southwest. Tom began his accounting career with Arthur Anderson & Co. in 1969. Mr. Fox has served as an instructor for the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants Continuing Education Program and remains an active member. In 1977, Tom was awarded the Glenn R. Barryman Award as that year’s outstanding instructor. He received his B.A. degree from St. Mary’s College in Winona, Minnesota and was admitted to the Society of Certified Public Accountants in 1972.
