Thomas D. Macphee joined Rohm and Haas in 1978 as a process chemist and since that time has worked in numerous areas including manufacturing polymer operations and new ventures. In 1992 he was named vice president of marketing and finance for Plaskon an electronic materials subsidiary of Rohm and Haas.
In 1995 Mr. Macphee joined the Corporate Strategic Planning group and was named director in 1999. In this role he has responsibility for strategic planning acquisitions & divestitures and venture investing. He also has responsibility for new business development including oversight of Rohm and Haas' Advanced Materials and other emerging businesses both internal and external.
Mr. Macphee earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from University of Delaware in 1976. He holds a M.B.A. in Finance from Temple University in 1982.
