Mr. Heekin is former managing partner of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. Mr. Heekin joined the firm in 1962 upon his graduation from the University of Michigan Law School where he was a member of the Michigan Law Review. He graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts in 1959, receiving his B.A. with honors in political science. In 1969 Mr. Heekin was appointed to the Hamilton County Municipal Court. He was elected to that court in 1969 and 1971. In 1974 he was elected to the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. Since returning to the firm as partner in 1978, Mr. Heekin has been advising business clients on corporate, contractual, regulatory and commercial matters. He also has transactional experience, representing buyers and sellers of businesses, and lenders and borrowers in a variety of financings. Mr. Heekin served as president of the Cincinnati Bar Association during 2000-2001. He serves as a trustee and Executive Committee member of the Cincinnati Arts Association and the Greater Cincinnati Center for Economic Education. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Saint Ursula Academy. Mr. Heekin is listed in the 2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America and also has been chosen as an Ohio Super Lawyer by Cincinnati Magazine. |
