As Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Borders Group, Inc., Tom heads the company's legal department and is responsible for directing Borders domestic and international legal affairs to ensure that the company's goals are aligned with its legal requirements. He joined the company in 1994 as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and was promoted to his current position in 2004.
Prior to joining Borders Group, Tom served for eight years as Partner and Corporate Group Head of Dickinson Wright, PLLC, a law firm committed to civil and charitable needs. Previous to his time at Dickinson Wright, Tom was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Hoover Universal, currently known as Johnson Controls, Inc.
Tom is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he earned both his BA and JD degrees. |
