Mr. Clark's practice focuses on all aspects of the representation of buyers, sellers, developers, landlords and tenants in all types of real estate matters, including acquisition, development, financing, leasing and economic incentive matters. Mr. Clark’s clients include developers and owners of retail shopping centers located in the State of Alabama and other states throughout the Southeast; an owner of multi-family properties located throughout the State of Alabama; the owner of the largest real property holdings in the Highway 280 Corridor; various manufacturing companies that have recently opened facilities in the State of Alabama; investors in timberland throughout the State of Alabama; a national residential developer in its recent Alabama projects; and the Retirement Systems of Alabama in connection with its various residential development investments.Mr. Clark's practice also focuses on all aspects of the representation of lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured transactions and multi-state transactions. In addition, Mr. Clark represents various clients with respect to equipment lease financing matters. Mr. Clark has, over the past ten years, served as the primary external counsel for commercial lending for First American Bank, the largest subsidiary of Alabama National BanCorporation, a $6.0 billion bank holding company with banks located in Alabama, Florida and Georgia. In addition, Mr. Clark represents a number of the firm’s clients (including public and privately-held entities) in connection with their various financing matters. Mr. Clark has been a lecturer for the Alabama Bar Institute on real estate, banking and financing issues, and recently served on the planning committee for the Alabama Bar Institute’s advanced real estate seminar.Outside the Office:Mr. Clark is an avid Duke Basketball fan, golf fanatic, and regular little league coach for his three children's many teams. |
