Thomas B. Pettit joined SI International in February 2000 as Vice President of Development Programs. Prior to joining SI International, Mr. Pettit was Director of Engineering for Lockheed Martin, Management and Data Systems. Mr. Pettit had joined Lockheed Martin after operating his own IT consulting firm for eleven years. He is now the Senior Vice President of the Applications Development Division where he leads the SI International IT development and integration programs.
Mr. Pettit has over twenty-five years of management and leadership experience in the Information Systems field. The last fifteen years have been in senior leadership and management positions on large systems development, integration, and networking programs. Mr. Pettit has led very large programs as Chief Engineer, Deputy Program Manager, Technical Director, Program Director and Engineering Director for multiple organizations. Mr. Pettit led these programs through all phases of the development lifecycle. Each of the leadership positions involved responsibility for the technical, cost, and schedule of a large technical staff. He has implemented CMMI level 3 approved processes for development programs on the two red programs to which he was assigned. Mr. Pettit has extensive Systems, Software, Network Engineering and Program Management background.
Over his career, Mr. Pettit has received many awards, both as a military officer and also as an employee of Lockheed Martin. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a Masters of Science from American University. |
