Thomas B. Hotopp, (65), is a former officer of MSA, serving most recently as president of MSA's North American operations before retiring from the company in 2002. Mr. Hotopp joined MSA in 1991 as senior vice president and general manager of the Safety Products Division, the company's largest U.S. operation. Over his tenure, he was instrumental in leading several company initiatives that helped MSA maintain a leadership position in safety product development, quality and service. This includes implementation of MSA's Total Quality Management program, an initiative that enabled MSA to respond to many marketplace challenges while maintaining MSA's high standards for customer service. Prior to joining MSA, Mr. Hotopp served as president of The Kingston-Warren Corp., Newfields, N.H. He also served in various executive capacities with Corning, Inc., Corning N.Y., an international diversified manufacturer of specialty metals and consumer products. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Stanford University. He became an MSA director in 1998. |
