Mr. Turpin, Managing Director in the Los Angeles office, has been employed by the Company since 2005. Prior to joining Allied Capital, from 2002 to 2004, Mr. Turpin served as President and CEO of Spruce, a retail venture focused on the regional roll-up of the dry-cleaning business. From 1997 to 2001, he served as President and CEO of Vinton Studios, one of the largest US dimensional animation companies serving the television and consumer products industries, known for its production innovation and visual design expertise. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Turpin worked within the Virgin Entertainment Group as President & CEO of one of Virgin’s digital media subsidiaries. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Sienna Holdings, a private equity fund, and an associate at Goldman, Sachs & Co in New York. Mr. Turpin earned his B.S. degree from Stanford University and his M.B.A. from Harvard University. |
