Tom is responsible for identifying and securing business opportunities for Neurogen, including collaborative partnerships and the acquisition of technology and assets. He is also responsible for alliance management for the Company’s several ongoing collaborations. Tom joined Neurogen in 1995 with responsibilities for supervising Neurogen’s electrophysiology laboratory and evaluating drug targets. He was promoted to Director, Business Development in 1999 and Senior Director, Business Development in 2001. Prior to Neurogen, Tom was on the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Tom holds a B.A. in Biology from Wake Forest University , Winston-Salem , North Carolina and a Ph.D in Physiology from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest . He received postdoctoral training supported by a National Institute of Health fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore.
