Thomas A. Hoffner is a member of the Employee Benefits, Corporate and Estate Planning Practice Groups in the Madison office. He practices in the general business area, with a corporate emphasis, and handles most of the qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, executive compensation planning and other employee benefits work for the clients of the Madison office. In addition, he is also an estate planner and probate practitioner. Tom has lectured at the University of Wisconsin Law School, and has been an instructor for the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist program sponsored by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Tom is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a member and former chair of the Madison Pension Council, and a member and former president of the Madison Estate Council. Tom received a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan in 1967 and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1975. Tom was an officer in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1972.
