Thomas A. Borner is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Putnam Bank. Mr. Borner has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1987 and was elected Chairman of the Board in 1994. In addition, Mr. Borner served as Interim Chief Executive Officer from 1999 to 2000. He has served as Chairman and CEO since 2006. Since October 2005, Mr. Borner has been principal of the law offices of Thomas A. Borner, located in Putnam. Prior to that, Mr. Borner served as "of counsel" to the law firm of Borner Scola Hill Baruti Vancini & Smith, located in Putnam. Tom is very active in the community. Among his charitable activities, he served as a Director of the Northeast Connecticut Habitat for Humanity. He and his wife, Kathy, have worked on a number of national habitat builds for Habitat for Humanity International through his association with America's Community Bankers. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Woodstock Agricultural Society which operates the annual Woodstock Fair, and is a past President of the Putnam Area Industrial Corporation. A member of the Board of Corporators of Day Kimball Hospital, Tom and his wife have served as Chairpersons of the Hospital's Annual Giving Appeal, helping to raise over $1.5 million. Tom is also a past advisory Board Member of the John Dempsey Regional Center in Putnam. Mr. Borner received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Connecticut in 1976 and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1979. He is admitted to practice law in all Federal and State Courts in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Mr. Borner and his wife make their home in Pomfret with their two children. |
