Theodore Edelman joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1985 became a partner of the Firm in 1991. Ted is a member of the bar of the State of New York, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Federal, First, Second, Fifth and Sixth Circuits and other federal courts. Ted is a member of the Firm s Litigation Group, and divides his time between the Firm s offices in New York and London, where he practices U.S. law. He has represented both U.S. and non-U.S. corporate clients on a wide variety of litigation and regulatory matters, including matters relating to antitrust, commercial contracts, commercial banking, corporations and securities, insurance and annuities, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, white collar criminal investigations and prosecutions, and investigations by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange, the NASD, the United States Federal Trade Commission, the United States Department of Justice, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Commission of the European Communities, the offices of the Attorney General of various states of the United States and the banking, corporate, securities and competition regulators in various other jurisdictions. Ted also has been involved in various mergers and acquisitions transactions involving the United States, Canada, the European Community and other jurisdictions around the world. Ted is a vice-chair of the International Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of International Law and a member of the Section's International Commercial Dispute Resolution Steering Group. |
