Theodore A. Griffinger, Jr. has over 30 years of litigation experience, during which he has litigated and arbitrated over 100 cases, focusing in recent years on securities, real estate finance and fiduciary duty litigation. He has also prepared and argued appeals to California and federal appellate courts. Prior to joining Stein & Lubin in 2000, Mr. Griffinger was Managing Partner of Landels, Ripley & Diamond, a firm that included a 1996 merger with Griffinger & Levinson, which Mr. Griffinger founded in 1979. Prior to that, Mr. Griffinger practiced at Pettit, Evers & Martin, beginning in 1975. Mr. Griffinger was also an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of California Hastings College of the Law from 1978 to 1980, teaching trial practice. He has acted as a Judge Pro Tempore in the San Francisco Superior Court, sitting as a judge through two jury trials. He has also acted as a securities arbitrator for the NYSE, NASD and Pacific Coast Stock Exchange. Mr. Griffinger has been voted a Super Lawyer (the top 5 percent of all lawyers) in Northern California in each consecutive year since 2004. Mr. Griffinger graduated from Williams College in 1972 with a B.A. in History and Art History. He earned his law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 1975 |
