Theo Travers joined the News Channel 3 team in November 2006 as a Daybreak reporter. Theo switched gears from his nightside gig at WSFA 12 in Montgomery, Alabama where he received several accolades for his journalism, including an Associated Press "Best Reporter" award. Before Montgomery, he worked the court and city hall beats for WFXL Fox 31 in Albany, Georgia. Born in Chicago, Illinois, raised in Albany, Georgia, Theo attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. After graduating with honors, he worked for the Museum of Television & Radio and Comedy Central in New York City. What drew Theo to broadcast journalism is its immediacy and ability to affect change. He brings with him to the Mid South a desire to be involved with community outreach and a healthy appetite for good food, live music, and fascinating people. |
