Teruhisa Moriya is president and chief executive officer of A&D.
An executive with a comprehensive background in international trade and business relations, commercial banking and strategic planning, Mr. Moriya has been with the company since June of 2002 when he was hired into an executive management role at A&D Company Limited Tokyo. In August 2003, he was transferred to A&D Engineering in California to facilitate the company’s entry into the U. S. viscometer business. Prior to joining A&D, Mr. Moriya applied his international business expertise in managing the commercial banking division of The Bank of Tokyo and its subsidiary, Union Bank of California.
During his 14-year tenure, Mr. Moriya built the bank’s international trade base and increased efficiency through streamlining operational procedures. He strengthened the firm’s position in domestic and international corporate finance, fostering and managing mutually beneficial relationships with companies both domestic and abroad.
Mr. Moriya earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tokyo’s Hitotsubashi University in 1988.
