Terry Wood is President, Creative Affairs and Development, CBS Television Distribution.
In her position, Wood oversees all new program development and production for the most prolific distributor in television. Most recently, Wood spearheaded the development and production of Rachael Ray, the new, daily, one-hour talk show hosted by Food Network phenomenon and best-selling author, Rachael Ray, which debuted as the highest-rated syndicated talk show since Dr. Phil in 2002.
She also oversees production of current hit series Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Inside Edition, Dr. Phil, Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown and The Montel Williams Show, and shepherds brand extensions for these properties such as ET on MTV, ET Canada and the Dr. Phil and ET primetime specials for CBS.
Before the September 2006 merger of King World and CBS Paramount Domestic Television into CTD, Wood had been President, Creative Affairs and Development for both companies since January 2005. Previously, Wood served as Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount Domestic Television, a position she held since 2002. In that role, she spearheaded the development, production and launch of Dr. Phil, which debuted higher than any other syndicated talk show since 1986 and continues to rank #2 among all talk shows. |
