During his professional career, Terry Snapp has spent over thirty years in a wide variety of leadership roles within the nonprofit sector throughout the Kansas City area. Snapp graduated from the University of Kansas with both undergraduate and graduate degrees culminating with a Master's of Arts in Communication,
In 1990, Snapp assumed the role as Vice-President for Advancement at Park University. During the eleven year tenure at this northland higher education institution, Snapp and his staff raised more than $30 million in gifts and commitments for a wide variety of capital, program and endowment programs.
During his lengthy professional career, Snapp has been active in his professional association, the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP). In the mid-1990's he served as President of the local chapter of AFP and also chaired a number of committees.
Snapp became Director of the TMC Charitable Foundation in 2001 and oversees a staff of ten. Since arriving at the foundation and its expanded board of twenty community leaders, the foundation has launched the most ambitious fundraising campaign in TMC's history. At this time, the campaign has surpassed two earlier campaign goals and is now seeking to reach a goal of $50 million. To date over $44 million has been secured |
