Dr. Prince serves as Senior Vice President of North American Nutrition Companies, Inc., with leadership responsibilities for Technical Service functions of the company.
He joined Akey in 1988 and has served the company in nutritional tech service, product development, research, and producer business development prior to taking his current position in 2004.
A native of Indiana, Dr. Prince grew up on a diversified livestock farm. He received his BS degree in Animal Science from Purdue University in 1971 and then was employed by Wilson Meat Packers from 1971 to 1973. He worked as a hog buyer and product manager for Wilson.
Dr. Prince conducted his graduate studies on mineral metabolism at the University of Kentucky and was awarded the Ph.D. degree in Swine Nutrition in 1976. He then joined the faculty of Auburn University and developed programs in swine nutrition research, teaching, and extension. He has authored or co-authored 15 scientific journal articles and over 50 abstracts and proceedings articles. He has been an invited speaker for numerous scientific and production symposia in the United States and Internationally. Dr. Prince was awarded the Auburn University Outstanding Teacher Award and the College of Agriculture Outstanding Faculty Member Award. |
