Terry Bailey joined Evergreen Solar in August 2004 as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales.
Prior to this position, Dr. Bailey served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for leading solar technology supplier AstroPower, Inc., which was acquired by GE (NYSE:GE). Previously, Dr. Bailey served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of NEC Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC. At NEC, Dr. Bailey was directly responsible for all day-to-day management, including P&L and revenue responsibility of more than $1 billion, and sat on the board of NEC Technologies. Dr. Bailey earlier served as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales at NEC Technologies. Prior to NEC, Dr. Bailey was an executive at Apple Computer, where he rose to the level of Senior Vice President and General Manager for Apple’s Imaging Division. In this position, he had worldwide P&L responsibility for all of Apple’s Imaging Products, which generated over $1 billion in annual revenues.
Bailey earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, from Florida State University, specializing in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance research and computer system graphics integration. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Alabama. |
