Terry L. Armant is a seasoned telecommunications executive with over 20 years in the wireless industry having managed the design, engineering, and construction of over 4,000 wireless communication facilities for wireless carriers and tower owners throughout the United States. Mr. Armant was previously Senior Vice President, Deployment of SpectraSite Communications of Cary, NC. He joined SpectraSite in August of 1998 as Vice President, Operations having responsibilities for all site acquisition, construction, antenna/tower installation, program management, materials management and site maintenance. As the company grew into one of the largest Wireless Telecommunication Facility owners in the country with 8000 towers and over 12,000 managed rooftops he played an integral role as a member of the senior management team in organizing the company, the acquisition and integration of several companies including Westower and Apex, the acquisition and integration of major tower portfolios including Nextel and SBC, and the development of major BTS programs and the in-building program. He built and managed a team of national specialists with regional offices in California, Chicago, Atlanta, and New Jersey that built and added over 2000 tower and in-building multi-carrier infrastructure facilities to the SpectraSite portfolio. Prior to joining SpectraSite, Mr. Armant was Director of System Implementation for Metro One of NY (McCaw Cellular) and following the acquisition, AT&T Wireless. In this role, he organized and managed a team of over 150 internal professionals and hundreds of external contractors in the acquisition, design, engineering, construction, equipment purchase and installation, and maintenance of the Wireless Telecommunications Facilities throughout the Northeast markets including New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. Earlier in his career in the Telecommunications Industry, Mr. Armant co-founded Commstruct Group, a premier provider of turnkey telecommunications services internationally. This company manufactured and provided modular equipment shelters to both MSA and RSA cellular carriers throughout the United States as well as design, engineering, construction, installation, and maintenance services. Mr. Armant holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology and a degree in Mechanical Technology from the State University of New York. |
