Terri L. Chase is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP, resident in it's New York office. She is a member of the Firm's Trial Department, Labor and Employment Group, where her practice focuses on employment and employee benefits litigation, traditional labor law and employment counseling.
Representing companies across the United States, her practice involves extensive day-to-day counseling on a host of employment matters, including wage and hour compliance, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), employment discrimination and harassment claims, reductions-in-force, restrictive covenants, employment contracts, severance agreements and personnel policies and procedures. In the arena of litigation, she has represented clients throughout all phases of litigation, including jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and arguing appeals, summary judgment motions and motions for preliminary injunctions.
In addition to contributing to publications on employment-related matters, Terri has handled cases that have attracted substantial press attention. As a result of the handling of such high-profile cases, Terri has not only been quoted in local and national print media, but also has appeared on Court TV to address questions related to sexual harassment.
Terri is admitted to the bars of Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York and is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association's Labor and Employment sections.
