Mr. Burns concentrates his practice in complex litigation and trial matters. His experience encompasses the areas of medical malpractice, health care-related litigation including professional licensing matters, and other complex civil litigation and civil rights matters.
Experience
Represents physicians, hospitals and other health care professionals as well as several prestigious corporations in complex litigation.
Has handled numerous trials in complex medical malpractice and general litigation and criminal cases in state and federal courts. He has also argued numerous cases in the Illinois Appellate and Supreme Courts.
Former prosecutor with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office. During that time, he was assigned to the Felony Trial Division of the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau, where he spent more than five years prosecuting violent crimes.
