Mr. Hillebrand received a B.A. from the University of California and a M.A. from San Diego State University, which were followed by advanced studies in business at both Harvard Business School and the University of California Los Angeles. He has substantial experience in the banking and finances industries. Between 1978 and 1990, he served as the Executive Director of The SCB Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on financing medical research, which derived its funds from Exxon and Texaco. Under his leadership, the level of business activity and grant volume doubled, assisting M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, among other research facilities, to become a recognized world leader. Since 1999, Mr. Hillebrand has served as the Vice President of Uptown Financial in Houston, Texas, where he is responsible for investment portfolio management and real estate finance.
