Ms. Kross joined PCS in 2006 to lead the development of PCS Young Learner early childhood programs. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood training, accreditation, environment, and curriculum development, her philosophy of development focuses on child-centered, exploratory, activity-based curriculum. Prior to joining PCS, Ms. Kross worked as a Seattle District Trainer for Children's World Learning Centers; conducted early childhood education workshops throughout the Seattle area; taught early childhood college courses at Edmonds Community College in Edmonds, WA; directed summer programs and created curriculum continuums for Nobel Learning Communities; and created Kindergarten curriculums for New Horizons and the Learning Garden early childhood care centers. Ms. Kross holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho, 27 additional credits in Early Childhood Education from Edmonds Community College, is a NAEYC accredited trainer and validator, and was voted Treasure Valley Teacher of the Year 2006 by the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children (IAEYC). |
