Dr. Block received his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago majoring in chemistry. He earned his medical degree at Ohio State University and went on to complete his residency at University of Michigan Medical Center and Ohio State University Hospitals. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Washington. He has special interest in heart failure and pacemakers. Prior to joining Southlake Clinic in 1982, Dr. Block had a private practice in Burien, Washington. During his tenure here he has been the co-director of the CCU, served as President of Southlake Clinic, and Chief Medical Officer for Valley Medical Center. Dr. Block is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr.Block is married with three children and two grandchildren. His interests include skiing, sailing, golfing and keeping physically fit
